Getting the Size Right
Think about how much wine you actually buy and drink rather than getting carried away with a massive unit. If you typically have 6-8 bottles at home, don't buy something that holds 50. You'll just have empty slots staring at you.
Our smaller wine rack cabinets work well for most households. They hold enough bottles for regular use plus a few extras for when you spot a good offer at the shops. The larger ones are great if you buy wine by the case or like to keep different types for different occasions.
Kitchen wine racks make sense if you cook with wine regularly or just want easy access when you're preparing meals. They fit nicely with your existing kitchen units and don't take up valuable counter space.
What to Look For
You want something sturdy that won't wobble when you're putting bottles in or taking them out. Our wine rack cabinets are built to handle daily use without falling apart or looking worn after a few months.
A cabinet with wine rack storage gives you the best value because you get wine storage plus cupboard space in one unit. Much more practical than those wine-only displays that cost more and do less.
The wooden ones are usually made from pinewood, which is strong enough for the job and looks good in most homes. The metal versions suit modern kitchens and are often lighter if you need to move them around.
Where to Put It
Most people automatically think dining room, but put it wherever makes sense for how you live. If you mainly drink wine while cooking or eating in the kitchen, that's where it should go. If you entertain in the living room, maybe there instead.
Corner spots work really well because they use space that often gets wasted anyway. You can fit a surprising amount of wine in a corner unit without it dominating the room.
Wall-mounted kitchen wine racks are brilliant for smaller homes. They keep bottles handy but off the counter, which is always good news in a busy kitchen.
Starting Out
You don't need to spend a fortune or get the biggest unit we sell. Pick something that fits your space and holds a bit more than you currently have. That way you won't outgrow it immediately but you're not paying for storage you'll never use.
Measure your space properly first - we've all made the mistake of buying something that looked perfect online but wouldn't fit where we wanted it.
